Rules of Use

Our goal is that the CicloRecreoVías will be safe, secure, and entertaining spaces where there exists a healthy coexistence of different people and different activities. With that in mind we have defined some rules of use for participants in the CicloRecreoVías.
General Guidelines
- Always give priority to children
- Respect normal traffic laws (keep to the right, respect traffic lights, obey road signs)
- Do not litter
- If you see something strange, report it to the Carabineros or Municipal Inspectors
- Do not let children out of your sight
- If you have any concerns, questions, or problems, go to a Vigía
- Maintain a safe distance between you and other users of the CicloRecreoVía
- Always bring your own water bottle. Avoid using containers that cannot be reused or recycled.
For Bicyclists and Rollerbladers

- Ensure that your bicycle or rollerblades are in good condition (well-adjusted parts, working brakes, etc.)
- Maintain a prudent speed
- Wear a helmet
- Don’t try to perform maneuvers or acrobatics in which you risk losing control
- Always keep your hands on the handlebars
- Be cautious and careful around those on foot
- Do not carry passengers or packages that impede your control of your bicycle
- Do not stop or turn without signaling. If you need to stop, always do so on the side of the route and very carefully
- Do not carry anything that could become tangled in the bicycle chain or wheels
- If you need to stop, and especially if you need to get off of your bicycle, do so on the sidewalk and never on the circuit (in the street).
Other Advice
- Make sure to drink enough water.
- Use sunblock
