Rules of Use

Mantenga su derecha

Our goal is that the CicloRecreoVías will be safe, secure, and entertaining spaces where there exists a healthy coexistence of different people and different activities. With that in mind we have defined some rules of use for participants in the CicloRecreoVías.

General Guidelines

  • Always give priority to children
  • Respect normal traffic laws (keep to the right, respect traffic lights, obey road signs)
  • Do not litter
  • If you see something strange, report it to the Carabineros or Municipal Inspectors
  • Do not let children out of your sight
  • If you have any concerns, questions, or problems, go to a Vigía
  • Maintain a safe distance between you and other users of the CicloRecreoVía
  • Always bring your own water bottle. Avoid using containers that cannot be reused or recycled.

For Bicyclists and Rollerbladers

  • Ensure that your bicycle or rollerblades are in good condition (well-adjusted parts, working brakes, etc.)
  • Maintain a prudent speed
  • Wear a helmet
  • Don’t try to perform maneuvers or acrobatics in which you risk losing control
  • Always keep your hands on the handlebars
  • Be cautious and careful around those on foot
  • Do not carry passengers or packages that impede your control of your bicycle
  • Do not stop or turn without signaling. If you need to stop, always do so on the side of the route and very carefully
  • Do not carry anything that could become tangled in the bicycle chain or wheels
  • If you need to stop, and especially if you need to get off of your bicycle, do so on the sidewalk and never on the circuit (in the street).

Other Advice

  • Make sure to drink enough water.
  • Use sunblock
